I myself had been running an Instagram account for years, and I find any time you can do little tweaks like a live or do something like that. Instagram will push you in the algorithm more. So let me tell you how you can do that. Oh, Instagram live.
How do you do an Instagram live for those of you that don't know? Well, it is simple. So let's do an example. I'll actually go live and show you just how easy this is. It doesn't take a lot of time and you don't need a fancy production. You don't need to overthink this. Just think of something you want to put out there to your audience and go with that.
So I've got my Instagram account open right now. Here's my feed. What I'm going to do is I'm going to scroll over just to, from the left to the right. And that takes me into here. So now you see I've got the option where I can do the post, the story reels or alive. So I'm going to scroll this over, go right to the live feature. And then it gives me the option. I can add more people to my live if I want, but this is good enough. So I've got it open. Now I'm ready to go live. As you can see, it says I have 79 followers active right now. So this can be a great way to know how many people are actually on the platform. And if this is a good time to go live or not, if you had zero active, maybe now's not a good time to go active or go live. So let's give it a shot. See how it goes, everyone. I'm live. I haven't. I've been done too many lives lately, but, I'm live on Instagram here. So basically the reason I am live right now is we're doing a YouTube video shoot. And I'm just showing my, everyone on the video, how you can actually do a live, how simple and easy it is. So basically whenever I do a live, it sends a notification out to everybody else, and notifies them that I am live so they can tune in. So for those of you that are following and actually watching this live, it's something I encourage you to do. It's a great way to get engagement. It's a great way to get people with their eyeballs on your platform.
Again, you can interact with people, you can type comments. You can have a conversation back and forth. What happens is when you go live on Instagram, it actually takes your little bubble. That's up in the stories and it puts you right up front. So anybody that is on Instagram, it notifies them. And then it also shows Sean Bell, his library now. So there's a better chance that you're going to be found in people's feed when you go live, versus if you just post a regular story. So if you have something that you want to give good information about, you want to put your message out there, then this is definitely a great way to do so. It doesn't have to be just basically take your phone, go live and, and talk to your audience. And, they'll get back to you. So there we go, Curtis, uh, comments with exactly. You got our Curtis. So thanks to everybody who joined this quick little live.
Like I said, we're doing this for YouTube and, appreciate everyone being here. And again, encourage a lot more of you take advantage of this and do a live when you can AR breathe. So there you have it. It was just that easy. All I had to do, and I was out here in the park. I just had to open it up, go to my live, do a quick recording. I had two people comment when I was on that live. I had maybe, I think there was about four or five that kind of came in and joined. And it was just that short of a little piece. And now people because they commented I'm up in the algorithm. Again, their faces were on my feet. Again, they were reminded about me and now Instagram knows they like to interact with me. So next time I make a poster, a story. There's a good chance. I'm going to show up in their feed. So this is why lives are so, so important. All right. So now you know how to do an Instagram live and I can hear you all asking the question, what the heck do I do on Instagram live? Like I said, anything of value to your audience is really good examples of. I mean, even if you want to do, I wouldn't do too many of these cause you can bore people sometimes. But if you do a tour of a house, could be a good idea. Do market updates. A lot of people want to know what the market is doing. How has it changed over the last month? So you can maybe do a market update once a month and just kind of have your stats there and rattle it off to everybody behind the scenes work. Great! So if you're working on a video project, like I'm on doing a YouTube video right now, I actually did that Instagram live. So it's kind of like a behind the scenes for your audience to say, what's currently going on, here's behind the scenes. And here's what it looks like when he actually shoots a YouTube video, interviewing people. So you could actually interview somebody as you saw. When I did go on my live there, it gave me the option to actually have others join. So you could have it set up where somebody else joins your Instagram live. And then when they come on with you, you can wait until they join. And then from there you can both have a conversation with each other and that creates engagement as well. And it also gets their audience connected with your audience. So I I'm a big fan of interviews because it's kind of putting the two together and, it's another great way to get exposure. You could showcase a local business, so go out to a business within your community and just do a live out at their store, their restaurant, whatever it may be, kind of showing people what it's about.
And lastly, another good one as we're out here right now, you could do an interview of a park or not an interview, but a tour of a part to showcase it and showcase all the great things the park has to offer. All right. So there you have it now, you know all about Instagram live. If this was beneficial, do me a solid, give me a like, comment, subscribe and share with your fellow realtor.
