Today I am going to talk about Digital Marketing and tell you many tips and techniques related to the digital marketing industry.
So before understanding digital marketing, we will talk about marketing first. We all are aware of marketing channels if you don't know then let me tell you. What does marketing mean?
Take it in this way, if you are making a product or providing some services you have to do some activities so that people should get to know about your product/service. If you are making a product or providing some services you have to take it in front of an audience. If you cannot promote it, nobody will get to know what the product is about. You have to do some activities so that people can come to know about your product or services. Those activities are nothing but marketing. Marketing has different channels, talk about TV Commercials, we see advertising on TV, or talk about Ads in News Paper Pamphlet distribution hoarding boards, or billboards which we see in traditional marketing. We can promote any product by using these traditional marketing media.

What are the digital mediums?
Devices which are connected to the internet Mobile phones, computers, smart TVs Podcast applications. Now let's understand these platforms one by one. First of all, I will talk about YouTube Channel. You might have seen an Ad before this video or on any other video. That is nothing but a video marketing Or I can say that's a Video Ad. Now before getting into Digital Medium we will talk about traditional Marketing I have taken an example of TVC (television commercial) in traditional marketing which I have compared with video Ads on YouTube. Let’s take another example of hoarding we have banner ads in Digital Media That we will cover in later videos. What are banner ads?
You might be playing a game on your smartphone or you are exploring some website or you are using some application. You might have noticed some banner ads on the screen kind of ads which you see on roads. In the same way, we have banner ads on digital platforms so, I can compare hoarding with banner ads.
Now we will talk about Radio Ads. In traditional marketing, we already have Radio ads. Talk about Audio Ads in Digital Medium that is nothing but Podcast Ads like Wynk, Gaana or saavn. You hear ads while listening to music on this app.
Now, talk about text ads. For text ads, there are many Channels in traditional marketing. Newspaper ads, there is a section for text ads. We have an option for text ads in Digital Media also. Running search ads, message ads on LinkedIn or Facebook. I know you are not getting anything which I am talking now you are clueless about these things. We will cover in-depth details about these digital mediums. People from this industry might be aware of these things. If you don't know, then you can be connected to my channel we will be posting videos about digital marketing. Let’s move ahead, I can say Digital Marketing is growing and glowing. It is not only growing but also influencing people. There are many reasons behind this. I think you might have understood different mediums of marketing. Let me explain to you the benefits of digital marketing.
The first benefit is it’s a target-oriented marketing before running ads, you can set the audience to whom you want to show. Take it in this way you are selling a women shoe to whom you want to show ads. Your target audience is women only digital platforms are the best option if you want to show ads only to the women. You can define the audience whenever you set a campaign that my ads should only be visible to women. Is there any option in traditional media, where you can only target women? So there is no possibility. Men can also buy women shoe for women, but women are the major buyers. In marketing, we always talk about probability. Now secondly we get modulation. If I take an example of hoarding. If I want to put a hoarding outside any station you decided to put a hoarding for 5 days. You put hoarding, and after two days also you didn't get any response and if you ask to remove that hoarding after two days, and want your money back. Then you won't get the money because the hoarding place was occupied specifically for you. It means traditional media is very stiff. If you have given an ad in the newspaper and you know that you are not getting any response, you can't do anything.
When you talk about digital media, say you decided to run a campaign for 5 days. But you want to shut that campaign in a day only if that campaign is not working and you are not getting a response. You can stop that campaign. If you think that campaign is not working then you can stop it then and there only there is one more benefit which is actually one of the important benefits, I can Say. Advertising in traditional media is very expensive. If you talk about TVC, it won't cost you less than 15 to 20 Lacs and you don't get a proper report. You can start an advertisement with Google Ads, in Digital Media. If you think, Campaign is working for your company. Then you can increase the budget accordingly. If you are thinking to expand your business then you can start with a small amount there no such low budget marketing channel in traditional Media these are the perks of Digital Marketing. And this is the reason why digital marketing is growing and glowing.
