Stay until the end, I’ll show you a behind the tool that makes running my business all possible. I have consulted hundreds of business owners on their marketing strategy and social media marketing is increasingly becoming the most substantial method for growing your business.
Being on social media for your business is no longer an option, it is mandatory. Just because social media is so widespread, does not mean it has to take up a lot of time. These tips will help you become super efficient. So let's get started.
Number 1.
Stay off Social Media! Yes, you heard. Social Media is a beautiful marketing miracle but it can also be a time suck. The average person checks their social media 10 times per day. Instead of impulsive mindless scrolling, set aside 15 per minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the evening to intentionally go on social media to respond to any comments and to be social.Number 2.
Batch Your Content. You've probably heard this before. Set aside specific time where you're going to plan out your content at once. This helps so you are not scrambling to find something to post every day to find something to post. Nobody needs that stress. Which leads me to..Number 3.
Have a daily, weekly, monthly routine, Every month, I plan weekly themes or topics. Then once a week, I set aside an hour or two to create daily posts around that theme and upload them. So, they are scheduled to post each day at a chosen time. And then just a few minutes every day I go in and respond to comments.Number 4.
Automate Your Process. Utilizing the right tools for your social media will set you free. They will allow you to create post, schedule them, and analyze how they are doing. It'll give you your life back. Utilize the right tools to help you create a schedule and post all of your social media so you're not having to post every single day. I utilize Canva and SocialPilot to schedule all my content and it provides me with analytic reports. So I can see how each post is performing. Luckily these tools are integrated to make life easier.Number 6.
Create Goals and Analyze Your Outcomes. Decide how often you’re going to post and the topics of your content. Then at least every month take a look at the analytics and see how each one of your posts are performing. If there is one post that has a super lot of engagement- sharing, like, comments. Maybe that is a topic that you should dive more deeper into. Because your audience is obviously interested in that topic.Number 7.
Don’t be selling all the time. First and foremost, as an entrepreneur on Social media, your objective is to be known as the credible expert in your field. To been seen and trusted so that people will want to buy from you and only you. And you do this by being helpful and sharing offering information so that the sales process will be easier for you. Follow the 3 to 1 rule, So for the first 3 posts, you are offering information, your telling your story, being friendly, valuable, offering value. And then about the every third post you do go ahead and Share 3 pieces of helpful and every 3rd post give a hard Call to Action for the sale.Number 8.
Have a clear Call to Action. If your reader has taken the time to read your entire post or watch you entire video, do the favor and let them know at the end where they can find more information or how they can take the best next step. Whether it’s schedule a sales call or vto lead to the your website, decide up front what your goal and your purpose is and work backwards from there.Number 9.
Know you audience. And the best way to do this is to listen to them. Is there a particular question that tends to pop up during the sales process? This can be solid piece of content. If you’re not sure, then ask them. Social media makes it easy for you to take a poll on your audience preferences. Give the people what they want.Number 10.
Drop the jargon and use the language of your customer. Read the comments on your post or take snippets from testimonials and reviews. These are absolute gold. Take note of their needs, wants, their desires and challenges. Use this language in your marketing.Number 11.
Spy on you competitors. Yes, I said that. Take a little peek. How are they using social media? Do not copy. But, is there a way you can do it better? A competitive analysis can help you learn what’s working and what’s not working for businesses like yours.Number 12.
Don’t try to be everywhere all at once at least not at first. Avoid spreading yourself too then. If you’re just starting out, choose 1 social media platform and just one, and focus on growing your audience there. Once you have a strong hold on that one, then start expanding into new territories. Let me know in the comments below what is your favorite social media platform is? And you can decide on this based on where your audience is at using demographics, also aligned with your interests and strengths as well.Number 13.
Share visuals wherever you can. People have come to expect for social post to include a visual component with it. Simply adding an image to your text will help stop the scroll and land some attention on your post. And attention, isn’t that our marketing goal?Number 14.
Video is king! Whether it’s Facebook Live or a quick demo video, video allows you to be concise and hook viewers interest from the get-go.. Consider user generated content. Share positive testimonials and reviews. Use images and social media posts created by your customer relating to your product. And finally, Number 17.
Focus on Quality over Quantity. Do not fall into the trap of churn and burn, posting for the heck of it just to say you did. There is more than enough noise on the internet.
