Social Media Strategy: Develop Your Personal Strategy


In this article, I am going to discuss my social media strategy. Before getting started I would love to tell you that using the same method you can finalize your social media strategy for the next year.
Step one is being aware when I say being aware you need to be aware of the current scenario in your business where are you doing good at where are you doing bad at and where do you need to improve. You need to understand the current scenario of your business. So that you know where you are going to improve and you know what's your focus of interest. Next year for the purpose of this article if we are going to divide your whole business into five core areas like lean nuts early generation conversions delivery and scaling you need to identify which is that area that needs a lot of attention for the next year and what is your area of focus basically the way how I set up the social media strategy for my business happens in quarters. So I would be focusing on the first two quarters. For me personally for me and for my business the first two quarters the primary focus would be lead generation and lead nurturing and the reason behind lead generation and lead nurturing is I want to build my own community here on youtube. Other multiple platforms that we are going to talk about later in the latest steps. But I want to build my own community I want people to trust me. I want to give as much as value possible. Step 2 is pick your social media platforms. Now it is really important for you to understand as a business owner. You don't have to be on every platform it's not necessary for you to be on every platform. You need to pick your platforms strategically we have multiple platforms like instagram, facebook, youtube, linkedin and whatnot right if I have to place the platforms in a hierarchy in my business. I would say the first position goes to youtube and the last position goes to podcast and in between I would have facebook and instagram. We are going to discuss about these platforms in a row and i'm going to tell you why they've received those ranks. I am a youtube content coach. So I need to understand that my audience are also on youtube and they are going to learn more about youtube on youtube. So I would want to create original content and bomb value content here on youtube itself. That's the reason why youtube always stays in the first position for me. My business the second reason why i definitely think youtube needs to be at the top.

Is youtube is a high and huge source of that organic traffic?

Well I don't want a filtered audience right now. At this point of time but I need more eyeballs so that people can listen to me people can understand.

What kind of value I provide and that huge source of organic traffic exists here on youtube platform?

Well you might ask me. Okay you are having two platforms in the second place. But if you have to rank them again okay sub categorize them. Which platform would have your more priority?

I would say facebook for me because I usually don't like the unpredictability happening on instagram. But through facebook I could hate consistent 5k months. So I know how to work around facebook and I know how to take advantage of that platform so facebook would be my second priority. If I sub categorize but otherwise instagram and facebook would be at second place and the reason why I placed instagram is I want my followers and my subscribers here from youtube to follow me on instagram. So that they can have some additional bonus trainings they know what's happening behind the scenes and they know how I work and they know me personally. But on instagram I can do it I can connect with you personally and that's the reason I feel instagram also plays an important role. Here with facebook apart from just providing value in facebook groups apart from that I have my own facebook group. Well a lot of them ask youtube was this podcast so ready what do you prefer I don't know why this question pops up because if you know about your audience closely and if you know the reasons why you are supposed to be on a platform. It's easy to choose step three is fix your schedule. Now that you are aware of what's wrong with your business and what you need to improve you are aware of what social media platforms would serve you better and you have given them certain ranks in the order of priority step 3 you need to understand and fix your schedule. Because that's the most important thing planning is good action is important. Before you even fix your schedule you need to understand what platforms will have original content and what platforms will serve repurposed content.
For my business specifically youtube will have my original content because that's where I’m going to provide my utmost value and I know that I’m going to spend hours in research. I'm going to spend time understanding my audience what kind of videos they need scripting filming videos. So most of my time would go into creating original content for youtube. Now you need to also understand how are you going to repurpose. One form of content into other platforms for instagram and facebook groups and facebook pages when I talk about my facebook page my facebook page also has repurposed content and g purpose content comes from my youtube videos. My old youtube videos and even for my instagram I do have repurposed content from my youtube videos itself. I snip out the most interesting and juicy part of the video into an ig tv. Then I pick up something that I say and I elaborate it and then I create an ig feed post for it so my instagram and my facebook page has got repurposed content from youtube videos. However my facebook group has got original content again. Because I do live sessions and I do channel audits and I don't want to have repurposed content here. Because people have joined my group because they believed in me that I’m going to give them a lot of value. So my first priority for original content will be my youtube channel and my facebook group and in the second level of repurposed content it's my instagram and my facebook page with podcast. Because I’ve already told it's not my first priority I plan to upload one podcast episode a month and I want to keep it up. Actively just so it's also a form of visibility on social media.

Right the last step that you need to follow in order to successfully implement the whole framework is having four daily checks now quarterly monthly whatever you feel like. But I personally believe it would be quarterly uh because when I upload bomb content on youtube for three months straight up and I know what's going to work and what's not going to work and moving into the next quarter. If I go back and check my analytics and see what's working what's not working, what kind of keywords have driven a lot of traffic and more analytics that's when I know how to pivot that success into my next quarter. So quarterly checks and having you know having to read your analytics understanding the kind of audience you're attracting that is super important for you to grow in your business. With this method you will also prioritize on what platforms. You must be and on what platforms you repurposed content goes and what platforms you have your original content.
